Recently in the Sabi Sands guests were taken on an adventure when observing a male leopard, named Xovu.

The leopard was found on the road intently watching a male impala browsing. After the impala moved into the bush, the leopard followed, disappearing deep into the bush to try to circle back on the animal.

The impala appeared to become nervous, sensing something was wrong, and starting running… and he ran right into the jaws of his predator.

After a day of feeding, the impala was still too heavy for Xovu to pull up the tree and he lost it to hyena in the end.
