SENIOR SAFARI CONSULTANTS – FIT

Full time | Hybrid | Remote

We are looking for a full-time Senior Travel Consultant to join the Africa Geographic team.

As a Senior Travel Consultant, your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Absolute dedication to the detail of planning, selling and management of experience-rich, responsible safaris
  • Broadening our product range by designing new products for AG based on your experiences across Africa
  • Acting as the first (and best!) point of contact for international clientele interested in booking tailor-made holidays and safaris on the African continent
  • Preparing attractive quotations and itineraries that complement individual client expectations and budgets

Requirements

Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in FIT safari consulting
  • Broadly travelled in Africa
  • Handle admin with aplomb – amaze us with your focus on accuracy and efficiency
  • Fluent in English

Will be considered a plus:

  • TourPlan, Safari Portal, Wetu, Hubspot – similar
  • Microsoft Office products
  • Fluent in the languages other than English

Compensation
We know that even if Africa has your heart, you deserve great compensation for your work. We offer the most attractive commission scheme on the market with an uncapped commission and a great base salary. Further, we take responsibility for providing you with as many leads as you request so you only need to focus on consulting.

SAFARI CONCIERGE

Full time | Hybrid | Remote

We are looking for a full-time Safari Concierge to join the Africa Geographic team.

As a Safari Concierge, your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Absolute dedication to supporting our safari consultants and finance team in planning, selling, booking and managing experience-rich, responsible safaris.
  • Liaising with suppliers and properties, booking client flights, etc.
  • Preparing precise quotes, travel documentation and booking extras such as restaurant reservations and added tours.
  • Assisting our product manager in creating new travel packages and marketing content.

Requirements
Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • A passion for travel in Africa and some travelling already under the belt
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a safari-related supporting role
  • Handle admin with aplomb – amaze us with your focus on accuracy and efficiency
  • Fluent in English
  • A minimum of two years of experience with Tourplan
  • Financial expertise – bring accuracy and attention to detail in preparing precise quotes for our Senior Consultants and clients, ensuring seamless, error-free documentation and efficient handling of all travel-related financial tasks.

  • Microsoft Office products

PAID DIGITAL MARKETING SPECIALIST

Full time | Hybrid | Remote

We are looking for a full-time Paid Digital Marketing Specialist to join the Africa Geographic team.

As a Paid Digital Marketing Specialist, your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

Creating a global paid media strategy:

  • Developing comprehensive strategies to obtain quality leads at a high volume across the major platforms: Google Ads, Meta, Microsoft ads etc.
  • Analyze market trends, audience behavior, and competitor performance to inform strategy and campaign development.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends, features, and updates across ad platforms and recommend innovative solutions to improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Experiment with emerging platforms and formats to identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Develop and implement effective audience segmentation and targeting strategies to reach the right users at the right time.
  • Plan, allocate, and manage paid media budgets effectively across campaigns and platforms.
  • Identify areas for cost savings while maintaining or improving performance.

Campaign Management

  • Plan, execute, and optimize paid advertising campaigns across platforms, including Google Ads, Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Ads, Microsoft Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and other relevant channels.
  • Manage campaign budgets, bid strategies, and performance to achieve optimal ROI.

Account Optimization

  • Regularly audit and optimize ad accounts to improve performance, including targeting, ad copy, creatives, and keyword strategies.
  • Monitor quality scores, impression shares, ad strength and ad placements to enhance account efficiency.
  • Analyse search terms to build comprehensive keywords and negative keyword lists
  • Ensure campaigns adhere to advertising policies and platform guidelines to avoid account restrictions.
  • Implement best practices in campaign management, tracking, and audience privacy compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

Performance Analysis & Reporting

  • Track and analyze key performance metrics (KPIs), such as CTR, conversion rates, CPA, and ROAS.
  • Create detailed performance reports and dashboards to communicate campaign results, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders.

Creative Collaboration

  • Create innovative conversion-combinations using Google Tag Manager (or similar) from user-behaviour and assign appropriate values to the conversion actions.
  • Work closely with our inhouse designers and content creators to develop engaging ad creatives and landing pages optimized for conversions.
  • Test various ad formats, creatives, and messaging to identify high-performing variations.
  • Creating compelling and strategic ads across the major platforms.

Requirements

Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • 5+ years experience managing Google Ads accounts with a budget over USD$2,000 per day.
  • 2+ years experience managing Meta, LinkedIN and Microsoft ads accounts.
  • Proven track record of achieving measurable results, such as increasing ROI, reducing CPA, and driving customer acquisition or retention.
  • Hands-on experience with web analytics tools like Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manager, and platform-specific reporting tools.
  • Experience conducting A/B tests across the entire marketing toolkit including but not limited to ad creatives, copy, audiences, search terms, and landing pages
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and deliver actionable insights.
  • Experience in the travel industry, specifically safari tour operating
  • Fluent in English
  • Microsoft Office products

Will be considered a plus:

  • Business/Marketing degree
  • Experience with additional platforms, such as TikTok Ads, Pinterest Ads, Amazon Ads, or programmatic advertising platforms.
  • Experience in safari industry
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and marketing automation platforms
  • Fluent in languages other than English
  • A passion for conservation

Able to work in the Central African Timezone +/- 1-2 hours.

CONTRACTS AND RATES ADMINISTRATOR

Full time | Hybrid | Remote

We are looking for a full-time Contracts and Rates Administrator to join the Africa Geographic team.

As a Contracts and Rates Administrator, your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Capture and maintain hotel and lodge supplier rates, policies, terms and live availability links into Tourplan with precision.
  • Work with a remote team to plan and review work to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Maintain an orderly record of contracts and special offers.
  • Request and confirm terms and policies from suppliers.
  • Work with the reservations and finance team to resolve queries. Keep the travel team updated with contract changes.
  • Test Tourplan upgrades and handle ad hoc system projects.

Requirements

Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • Travel and Tourism Higher Certificate or similar travel qualification
  • Minimum 2 years in Travel and Tourism working in an FIT Tourplan environment, an added advantage is to have experience in working in the Product Set up environment of Tourplan
  • Excellent with working with numbers – previous experience with quoting travel packages and room rate calculations an advantage.
  • Strong problem solving and reading skills. The role requires a high level of detailed reading and analysis of hotel/lodge contracts and working to tight deadlines.
  • Handle admin with aplomb – amaze us with your focus on accuracy and efficiency
  • Ability to thrive in a remote team environment.
  • Fluent in English – reading and writing.

Will be considered a plus:

  • Tourplan Product and Code Set up experience. Managing live availability in Tourplan.
  • Trello, Safari Portal, Hubspot, Tour Operation reservations system – similar
  • Microsoft Office products
