Itinerary

Gather at Kilimanjaro International Airport where you'll be warmly welcomed by your guide. A comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle, complete with a refreshing bottle of water and a chilled towel, will take you to your first destination. The journey to Rivertrees Lodge in Arusha spans approximately 35 to 50 minutes. During this time, engage in conversation with your knowledgeable driver, acquainting yourself with the Tanzanian landscape.

Upon arrival, immerse yourself in relaxation. Whether it's lounging poolside with a refreshing beverage and a captivating read or indulging in a soothing massage to alleviate any travel-induced tension, the choice is yours. Delight in a culinary journey encompassing local delicacies and international fare, ensuring every palate is catered to before retiring for a restful night's sleep.

Begin your journey to Ngorongoro with a scenic drive through Lake Manyara National Park. After a hearty breakfast, you'll be greeted by a knowledgeable driver guide.

On the captivating drive, traverse Arusha's lively streets before venturing westward, passing quaint settlements and vibrant markets. Keep an eye out for locals transporting an abundance of bananas on bicycles as you glide through the charming town of Mto wa Mbu. Upon entering Lake Manyara National Park, brace yourself for immediate immersion in Tanzania's rich wildlife. Marvel at the park's centrepiece, an expansive alkaline lake teeming with diverse birdlife, including iconic flamingos. Amidst the grassy plains and acacia forests, encounter an array of wildlife, from majestic lions to graceful giraffes. Enjoy a delightful picnic lunch and refreshing drinks in the shade before continuing your journey towards Ngorongoro Crater.

As the road ascends, relish in the changing landscape, ascending the steep walls of the Great Rift Valley and passing through lush tropical jungles. Arrive at the breathtaking viewpoint atop the crater rim, offering a perfect opportunity for memorable photographs and a brief leg stretch. Follow the crater rim road in a clockwise direction until reaching the welcoming embrace of luxurious Entamanu Camp.

Prepare for an early morning adventure as you strive to be among the first to descend into the captivating Ngorongoro Crater. Wrapped in layers of warmth, shielded by cosy jackets and traditional Maasai blankets, you set out from camp into the pre-dawn darkness. Any chill is swiftly dispelled by the anticipation of what lies ahead.

Surrounded by the towering walls of the ancient caldera, the descent into the crater unveils a new world. Upon reaching the crater floor, indulge in a comforting cup of coffee and delectable breakfast snacks. Thereafter, you'll traverse the diverse landscapes of the crater floor, encountering an abundance of wildlife in this remarkable setting. Pause for a picturesque picnic lunch beside the tranquil hippo pool, where the rhythmic grunts of these magnificent creatures provide a soothing soundtrack to your meal.

As the sun climbs higher in the sky, signalling mid-afternoon, begin the ascent back up the crater wall, bidding farewell to the mesmerising vistas of the crater floor. Return to camp in time to rejuvenate and unwind before dinner, and enjoy a refreshing beverage in the welcoming ambience of the bar, and spend a relaxing evening in luxury.

Embark on the next leg of your journey: a scenic drive to Dunia Camp in Serengeti National Park.

On the picturesque drive, prepare for a captivating journey from the crater rim down through the evolving vegetation, eventually opening up to the vast, short grass plains of Ngorongoro and the Serengeti. While the drive offers a stunning introduction to the southern plains, it's worth noting that it can be lengthy and occasionally dusty when vehicles pass by. Pause at Naabi Hill Gate to arrange park fees and indulge in a picnic lunch beneath the shade of trees. Take a brief stroll up Naabi Hill for breathtaking views of the Serengeti, which are especially captivating during Migration season. Depending on wildlife sightings along the way, anticipate approximately 2.5 hours to reach Dunia Camp. Upon arrival, take the afternoon to unwind, refresh, and immerse yourself in the new surroundings.

Conclude your day with a delightful dinner, serenaded by the symphony of the bush, before retiring to the cosy comforts of your bed, enveloped by the nocturnal sounds of the wilderness.

At Dunia Camp, the freedom to tailor your safari experience awaits. Accompanied by your knowledgeable guide and exclusive vehicle, craft your game drives according to your preferences. Rise at 6AM, accompanied by steaming coffee and a hearty packed breakfast, to seize the morning's prime wildlife viewing opportunities. Return to camp for a leisurely lunch or opt for a full-day adventure, carrying a picnic to sustain you as you immerse yourself in the captivating sights and sounds of the Serengeti. For an unparalleled perspective, elevate your experience with a luxury hot-air balloon safari, soaring gracefully above the landscape as the sun paints the sky with vibrant hues.

Embark on the next leg of your journey with a flight to the enchanting island of Zanzibar, where relaxation and adventure await. Bid farewell to the savannah as you savor a final breakfast at camp before making your way to the airstrip.

Expect a scenic flight with multiple stops along the way as the plane collects and drops off passengers at selected airstrips. Your journey culminates in the early afternoon, with a packed lunch provided by the camp ensuring you remain satiated throughout your travels. Upon arrival, a courteous representative awaits to whisk you away on a private transfer to your chosen sanctuary: Breezes Beach Club & Spa. Slip off your shoes, sway in a hammock, or sip on a refreshing cocktail as you surrender to the tranquil rhythms of island life.

At Breezes, immerse yourself in the vibrant tapestry of island living, whether unwinding on pristine beaches or delving into aquatic adventures at the dive center. Engage in cultural immersion with Swahili cooking classes or palm-weaving sessions on the sun-kissed shores. Alternatively, unleash your adventurous spirit with a plethora of water sports activities.

Indulge in a romantic lunch on your own private sandbank on ethereal Infinity Island, a captivating haven for couples seeking an unforgettable escapade. Explore the storied streets of Stone Town on a guided walking tour, marvelling at intricately carved doors and meandering through pathways steeped in architectural splendor. Whatever your inclinations, Zanzibar beckons with a wealth of treasures waiting to be discovered on its idyllic shores.

Prepare for your departure from the captivating island of Zanzibar as you transfer to Zanzibar International Airport.
