HANDCRAFTED EXPERIENTIAL SAFARIS

Trust us to find you the rarest animals, the most spectacular wildlife events, the remotest landscapes and deeply meaningful cultural encounters!

South Luangwa National Park is one of four national parks in the Luangwa Valley - which tracks the Luangwa River as it flows southwest to meet the mighty Zambezi River.

Safari life in the valley centres around the river and its rich floodplains that spill over into the surrounding plains, savannas and woodlands. The Luangwa River changes course regularly during the annual flooding season, creating new oxbow lakes and hairpin bends.

South Luangwa NP covers an area of 9,059km2 (90,000 hectares) of which the Mfuwe area is the park’s busiest and the Nsefu sector is quieter and more remote.

The four national parks in the Luangwa Valley (South Luangwa NP, North Luangwa NP, Luambe NP and Lukusuzi NP are surrounded by numerous unfenced game management areas and the combined ecosystem under protection covers a relatively undisturbed 70,000km2 of wilderness.

Travel in Africa is about knowing when and where to go, and with whom. A few weeks too early/late or a few kilometres off course, and you could miss the greatest show on Earth. And wouldn’t that be a pity?
