Oleksiy Mishchenko recently paid a visit to South Africa for the Cape Town Cycle Tour – one of the biggest cycling events in the world. On Friday, to stretch out his legs he went on a pre-race ride to the Cape of Good Hope.

The road by the ocean was quiet until suddenly, according to the comment on Oleksiy’s YouTube video, he spotted a white ostrich on his left. Continuing the story he says, “then this beast jumped on the road from the right and started chasing my friends! It was a little scary at first, but then I thought I was gonna fall off my bike from laughter. The ostrich didn’t have any problem to keep up at 50km/h and apparently they do 70km/h with no sweat.”
Luckily the ostrich decided to leave the cyclists alone and all were unharmed.
