Jaci’s Lodges has been very busy lately, and especially now that our photographic residencies – hosted by acclaimed wildlife and nature photographer, Andrew Aveley – have been taking place. Andrew has been assisting guests with their photography during safaris, from the Terrapin Hide, as well as during post processing sessions.
When you are staying at the lodge, you can book activities with Andrew. So whether a morning safari, a session in the Terrapin Hide or an afternoon safari tickles your fancy, just let him know. Whatever experience you choose each day, you will be able to use the lodge’s professional DSLR equipment, and Andrew will guide you through everything – from how to operate the camera, to how to create the best compositions and play with light. He will give you all the tools you need to create your photographic vision.
After you have finished your chosen activity with Andrew, you can then resume your normal safari routine knowing that you have expertly crafted African images safely stored on the memory card that the lodge also supplies.
Although Andrew doesn’t often pick up his camera during photographic safaris (as he is assisting guests), we did manage to get some images from him taken recently, and we hope you enjoy them as much as we did.
