In early November 2015, in one of the largest seizures of rhino horn in Tanzania, four Chinese men were arrested after they were found with 11 rhino horns hidden in their vehicle.

The four men, namely Mr Song Lei, 33, Xiao Shaodan, 29, Chen Jianlin, 34 and Hu Liang, 30, were arrested at the Tanzania-Malawi border post with the rhino horns that were allegedly concealed in a fake fuel tank welded to the chassis of their Toyota Hilux.

Their case was heard yesterday and sentencing handed down, with each man given a 20-year prison sentence.
