After a devastating outbreak of rabies, the African wild dog population of Madikwe has made a spectacular recovery. Their litter of nine adorable pups is showing great promise and just generally enjoys showing off.
These gorgeous predators were recently photographed out hunting by Kristoff Potgieter.
African wild dogs raise their litters communally under the lead of a single matriarch. Following a hunt the adults will return to the den and regurgitate meat for the pups. This can start a bit of friendly fighting over who gets the tastiest morsels!
